There are two words that most people associate with the mystical and esoteric world. Yet the reality is that they are mundane and simple things that everyone does every day. As most people are doing them unconsciously and haphazardly, their effects can feel like random and haphazard occurrences.
The words are manifesting and ritual.
Manifesting brings up images of conjuring something up out of thin air – Piff paff poff and there it is! The meaning of the word is to bring something into existence and it is actually a very practical and even predictable process when done consciously.

When your thoughts, beliefs, feelings, choices and actions are all in sync, it becomes easy to create what you want, so long as you factor in the variable of time. Yes, manifesting takes time. However, if you are in sync it can happen very quickly and seemingly in a magical way.
It’s also really important to not be attached to something happening in a specific way. By doing the best you can and surrendering to what happens, you may find that something even more marvellous manifests.
The trouble is that most people are doing the opposite of this – saying they want one thing, then acting in a way that is completely incongruent with what they say, think and believe.
Rituals are one of the best ways to start manifesting more of what you desire. Another “magic” word, one definition is “any practice or pattern of behaviour regularly performed in a set manner.”
Who doesn’t do something like that every day?
Sadly, most people’s rituals are unconscious and not geared towards a positive outcome. An example could be someone waking up in the morning and while lying in bed, starts running through everything their dreading about the day – “It’s raining, the traffic’s going to be terrible, I haven’t done that report, my boss is going to have a go at me, it’s going to be a shit day…………” and this pattern of thought and feeling continues throughout the day.
Guess what? They notice the things that confirm what they are thinking and prove themselves right. Every day.
We create
We look for proof
And we attract
The situations and results that reflect our dominant thoughts, feelings and beliefs.
At the end of the day, they drive home, reflecting on how awful the day was, slump on the sofa and watch one of the soap operas – downloading other people’s imaginary miserable lives directly into their brain with a couple of beers to numb the pain and go to bed dreading the next day (possibly following a few arguments with strangers on Facebook)…….rinse and repeat.
So, what else is possible?
Here’s one of many possibilities.
They wake up in the morning and think about everything they can bring to mind that they are grateful for. Maybe they have a list of things to look at, to make it easier, first thing in the morning. As well as the thoughts, they focus on how gratitude feels in their body and do all they can to magnify the feelings.

After five minutes or so, they get up and get their body moving in some way – this creates energy and feels great. The Five Tibetans is a simple, dynamic routine that can be done in just a few minutes and feels great. There are many others to choose from.
This simple change means that they start to notice more things to be grateful for during the day and events that they might have felt bad about before become less difficult to deal with.
At the end of the day, they spend a few minutes thinking, and maybe writing down a few more things to be grateful for that have happened during the day – no matter how small, again getting into the feelings. They then drift off to sleep feeling appreciative and more optimistic about life.
This seems incredibly simple (it is) and just takes about 15 minutes. This isn’t even 15 minutes to find, it’s just time that they were spendingon misery and worry. The results really can be epic.
This is just one example of a daily ritual that can massively shift what you are manifesting in your life. Done consistently, it is GUARANTEED to make your life better.
You can find a powerful gratitude process and audio meditation, along with many other “magical” tools in my video series Create The Life You Want. Give it a go and see if your life starts to feel more magical.

January 29, 2016Thanks for the inspiration! Inspired to get back into a great routine. Will first look at why I was so good at sticking to it and then gradually stopped…

January 29, 2016You are welcome Marie – I think most of us do this and it’s so apparent how life changes when you let the simple routines slide. For me, whenever I notice the shine coming off my life, it’s usually because I’ve let the gratitude rituals slip. Have fun!
